Grant Dental Centre is a value-based clinic that was founded in 1969. Since then, we have been serving the community with comprehensive dental services. We take pride in our work, and we have a reputation in the community for being friendly and compassionate. Quality of work is our top priority, and we are proud of the fact that we have generations of families coming to us. Dr. Maria Mikos

Dr. Maria Mikos is passionate about providing patient-centred dental care and helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Manitoba in 2017 after first completing a Bachelor of Science degree at the same institution. During dental school, Dr. Mikos was actively involved in student leadership, serving on the Student Council throughout all four years of her dental education. Her commitment to community service and oral health advocacy extended well beyond the classroom. As Co-Chair of the Manitoba chapter of Oral Health Total Health, a national initiative dedicated to improving oral healthcare awareness and access for individuals with special healthcare needs, Dr. Mikos organized a community carnival that promoted oral health education in an engaging and inclusive environment for patients and their families. Dr. Mikos also organized Brush Fest, a community outreach initiative that brought dental students into elementary schools throughout Winnipeg to deliver fun, interactive oral health presentations and encourage healthy habits from an early age. In her final year of dental school, Dr. Mikos was selected to participate in a dental mission to South America, where she provided much-needed dental care to underserved communities in Lima, Peru. Upon graduation, Dr. Mikos received the Dr. Norman Levine Undergraduate Award from the Canadian Academy of Paediatric Dentistry in recognition of her academic achievement and passion for caring for young patients. Today, Dr. Mikos enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is dedicated to building lasting relationships with her patients through honest communication, gentle care, and a personalized approach to treatment. She strives to create a welcoming environment where patients of all ages feel at ease and confident in their dental care.
Dr. Shaun Corbett

Dr. Shaun Corbett grew up in Winnipeg and earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from the University of Manitoba in 2015. Upon graduation, he was recognized with the Martin Nevile Award for excellence in caring for pediatric patients and the Outstanding Achievement Award in Operative Dentistry. He then completed a residency at the Health Sciences Centre, gaining advanced training in oral surgery, treating patients with complex medical needs, and providing IV and nitrous oxide sedation. Dr. Corbett is certified in Invisalign® treatment, helping patients improve their bites and achieve healthier, straighter smiles. He is also trained in using Botox® for both TMJ disorder relief and facial aesthetics. While Dr. Corbett communicates fluently in English, his multilingual team—fluent in Chinese and Tagalog—ensures that patients from diverse language backgrounds feel comfortable and well supported throughout their dental care experience. Outside the office, Dr. Corbett enjoys time at the family cottage, fishing and water sports. In the winter, you’ll find him playing hockey or cheering on the Winnipeg Jets. He’s excited to be part of the Grant Dental Centre team and looks forward to providing patients with comfortable, comprehensive care.
